Call for Papers
Abstracts are short, plain-text summaries read by the workshop's guest editors. Accepted authors are invited to submit a full manuscript for peer review and publication in the journal's special collection.
Submit
Abstract submission
Title, authors, affiliation, and an abstract of up to 200 words. A confirmation email with a reference number follows.
What to submit
Your abstract should be no more than 200 words (about 1,500 characters) and describe the question your paper addresses, the approach taken, and the principal findings or argument. Plain text only; formatting, figures, and references are not needed at this stage.
You will also be asked for the paper title, the corresponding author’s contact details and affiliation, the names of any co-authors, and a topic area.
What happens next
- You receive an email confirming receipt, with a reference number.
- A guest editor for the workshop reviews the abstract and notifies you of the decision by the date shown on the dates page.
- If accepted, you are invited to submit a full manuscript through ASCE’s Editorial Manager. Manuscripts undergo the journal’s standard peer review.
- Accepted manuscripts are published in a special collection of the journal and presented at the workshop.
Before you submit
- Double-check the corresponding author’s email address; all correspondence goes there.
- Submitting an abstract does not register you for the workshop. See registration.
- To correct a submission, submit again; the editorial team will use the most recent version and quote your original reference number.
